GenderWild Press

Our Stories, Our Voices

GenderWild Press was created because our queer stories are being stolen from us. Our books are being banned in schools and libraries. Our history is being erased from websites and ledgers. The barriers to queer writers in the traditional publishing world are significant.

Right now, it is more important than ever for the queer community to tell our own stories in our own voices.

Our Mission

GenderWild Press creates books by queer authors telling our own fiction and nonfiction stories. We believe in finding ourselves on the pages of our favorite books. We believe in telling captivating stories that reflect the full human experience. We believe that our intersectionality as disabled, BIPOC, AANHPI, chronically ill, neurodiverse, devilishly gorgeous creatures makes us more, not less.

We believe that this is the best time to build a tiny, independent publishing company which creates works by transgender, intersex, nonbinary, and genderqueer authors, because telling our stories really can change the world. And that’s precisely what we’re here to do.

Support Trans Stories

There is an urgency in preserving transgender stories amidst increasing governmental attacks on our rights. Our lack of a coordinated plan for resistance can be restored by sharing personal narratives. GenderWild Press aims to create a platform for trans and queer voices, emphasizing the necessity of funding to continue this vital work.
